Hemp Seed Oil Sales to Benefit Xerces Society

Every quarter BioStar chooses a charity to support, and with so many of our insect populations at risk including honey bees, it’s more important than ever to support conservation efforts of these little but mighty critters. The Xerces Society, will be the recipient of profits from a percentage of BioStar’s Hemp Seed Oil sales for the third quarter of 2014. The Xerces Society is a nonprofit organization that protects wildlife through the conservation of invertebrates and their habitat. For over forty years, the Society has been at the forefront of invertebrate protection worldwide, harnessing the knowledge of scientists and the enthusiasm of citizens to implement conservation programs. For more information about The Xerces Society, please go to:

Empower EQ is organic hemp seed oil for horses, offering a nutritional powerhouse of essential fatty acids and antioxidants.

Certified organic hemp oil for horses contains 0.00% THC, and provides a balance of Omega 3, 6 & 9 plus vitamin E, vitamin A, and GLA (Gamma- Linolenic acid). GLA is one of the most impressive hemp seed oil benefits because of its ability to regulate inflammation. Hempseed oil provides the naturally occurring phospholipids, which support growth and renewal of cell membranes. Phospholipids play an important role in athletic performance by maintaining muscle glycogen stores.

Empower EQ is extracted through a special press and is not subjected to high heat processing or solvent extraction like vegetable, corn, soy, and rice bran oils. Due to the vibrancy and quality of this oil for horses, only 1-2 ounces once or twice per day is needed.
