It took some time before I could get my filly to eat this but once she did, it was okay. However I have not found any significant change and I'm not able to feed twice a day so I have not been able to give as directed. I will try to find something that might fit my needs for this filly better.

I had to slowly add this to my mare's ration to get her acclimated to the rather strong taste. Because she is a "hefty girl" she doesn't eat a lot--only a handful of moistened timothy cubes--so the strong flavor is very obvious. She will eat it now, but she still is not too thrilled about it. I started switching her over to Optimum HW from Optimum EQ 6 weeks ago and she has been on the full dose for about 3 weeks. I have not noticed any significant differences between the two except in palatability. My mare is not finicky, but not a vacuum cleaner either.
Unfortunately, my mare did not like the taste or maybe smell. I don’t think anything less of the product. She happily eats the Optimum Senior and loves the TumEase cubes, and I love all the other BioStar products.
Great - took several weeks to switch from prior supplements, partly because 1 mare is sensitive to a new diet, has a history of being a fussy eater, and I was advised to switch over slowly. She dove into it from day 1 (the Optimum HW), and cleans it up (mixed with soaked alfalfa/timothy cubes). I also noticed all 3 horses have more energy, more stamina. That was noticeable after a week not yet on full amount. Appearance - a little too soon to tell for sure; hence the 4 stars, not 5 (next time!). Customer service is superb with all my questions answered in a professional and friendly way.
